Veronica sent a text warning a package was on its way with something for the dogs, but to only open it when her dad was rolling video. Intrigued, we followed her directions. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard as when I opened it to discover a Maggie-sized Pirate Halloween costume, complete with Jolly Roger hat and stuffed parrot. This being her first Samhain since the removal of her left eye, V felt it was only appropriate that Maggie celebrate by dressing up as a tough-as-nails pirate queen. Maggie, on the other hand, disagreed. The moment the costume was on her body, she froze and refused to move, giving us the most awful dirty look. I guess you could say she was giving me the evil eye.
