My last post was in August of last year. Seven months. Sheesh.
But every time I sat down at the keyboard, I found myself struggling with where to begin.
There’s a lot I want to write about: my family, my faith, my ongoing battle with chronic migraine headaches, my photography, my ridiculous dogs and my passion for creating art. But I keep feeling like I need to start my story properly before I write about anything else.
It’s just another example of how my self-imposed rules and perfectionist tendencies have kept me paralyzed.
Truth is, this probably isn’t going to be read by anyone but me and my mother. (Hi, Mom!) So why not just start somewhere? I can always go back and fill in the blanks.
Welcome to Shooting From the Hip – my little corner of the Web. It’s mostly for my own amusement, and to give me a place to play and brush off my ever-so-rusty technical skills. God knows I would love to go back to work someday, and if you don’t use it, you lose it, right?
It’s about time I started blogging again, even if it’s only for me.
